sharyn jane is ONE

 

we are so happy to have a healthy happy little one year old girl! she enjoyed her party and received so many great toys and clothes!

little sharyn is doing so well, loving life and all that it has to offer!

 each day brings new discoveries and smiles. she is still crawling, but is pulling up on everything. she continues to be very interested in what her brother has or is doing. she has a total of four teeth and continues to eat well-but only what she likes. kinda a picky girl. she is learning how to clean up toys-put them in the basket, and can make a car noise-vroom. she loves her babies and our kitty kitty-maddie.

she brings us joy EVERY day!

halloween 2010

we had a fun halloween! started out with my mom and i taking kal and ryn to the fall fun fest in round rock-we only did 3 things becaseu it was so crazy crowded, but kal played on the playground for awhile in the park so it was still fun. we ran into regan hemenes and her grandma and daddy a did the hayride with them.

 
 
 
  

our neighbors made a huge pirate ship in their yard and had a party on saturday night. after we hung out there awhile we  went to mark and mindy's for a halloween party-we were KISS.  haven't dressed up for halloween in years and i forgot how fun it is.

 

on sunday-halloween, mom and dad and andy, georgette and the kids came over for some pumpkin soup and trick or treating.

our way too talented neighbors started building and slowly turning their house into a pirate ship back in august.

ryn the scavenger

the last few days after we get done with breakfast, i find ryn "cleaning up" what kalan left on his plate-

 

im not sure if she is:

    A-hungry

    B-eating it just becasue it was kalan's

    C-just putting it in her mouth becasue she found it like everything else in the house.

I guess whatever the case it dosen't matter becaseu she is happy.

Sharyn Jane is 11 Months!

time flies.  
how can our baby girl be almost ONE?!

she has really come into her own this month. she absolutely can not stand being alone. this is a problem we are working on...but her shrill of a scream keeps us in check-

she had her first bad cold and roseola all at once. she had a few runny noses last winter and early spring, but no fever and nothing like what she has had these past two weeks. she is still getting over her cold a bit with a runny nose and a cough.

she has 4 teeth and her favorite foods are chicken and blueberries, not necessarily together. she has become a very picky eater-still eating good things, but the pickyness is with different textures like banana or potatoes.

she is pulling herself up to a standing position. she has started to harass her brother-i don't know if there is any other way to explain it. she finds great joy in pulling his hair and hearing him scream. when read books and she likes to point out babies and animals. 

 she is pretty good at trying to repeat things but we know she says momma, daddy and kitty. the outside calms her the best and her favorite toy is the remote control to the TV-thanks time warner.

 

pumpkin patch

trying to get to the pumkin patch for photos has been near impossible for some reason...kiddos sick, pumkin patches closed...so HEB had a tractor out by their pumkins, so i figured-now is as good as a time as any.

 
 
 

we may head to a patch later in the month, but for now we have a few. 

10 months

little sharyn jane is an official crawler. she busted out the moves 2 days before her 10-month birthday. she is super excited to get into her brothers toys and pulls up to her knees.

 

she has cut three teeth with her fourth on the way and pretty much prefers table food and get annoyed with me feeding her most of the time. she already is trying really hard to feed herself with the spoon and actually gets it more times then not. her favorite food is cheese and she drinks a ton of water.

ryn is right at 21 pounds and the happiest little girl ever! she still keeps us in check with her fire engine shrill of a scream. she is sleeping pretty good, goes down around 8:30 and usually like to nurse between 4-6a and will sleep til 7 or 8a.

we are completely blessed with our little girl!

9 months

our little ryn is 9 months old! she still isn't crawling-but that is ok, she scoots all across the floor. she cut her first tooth and has started self feeding table foods. napping pretty good during the day and sleeps most of the night. usually wakes up to nurse between 4 and 6am, and lately, has not gone back to sleep unless she can sleep on daddy's chest.

 

in her nineth month we have started to see some shyness, but continues to charm the crowds. looks like her hair has some red tint to it and is  s l o w l y  coming in. we have seen kalan start to play with her (mostly when we are not watching) and be really sweet with her most of the time. he tells her to go take a nap when he is tired of her, but that is usually only when he wants some one on one attention with mom or dad.

5 years of bliss...

kevin and i celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary last month with much need rest and relaxation-with each other! no kiddos-i had to leave ryn and kal for two nights but everybody did fine.

kev did some major secret planning and we had so much fun! we did a lot of "austin" things on thursday...then friday we left for colorado and stayed in a great little bed and breakfast and we enjoyed the city life with spa visits and shopping and great food!

ironically, we did not get a picture together on our 5th year celebration weekend, actually i only took this one...oooops,

2010 july 1-31

july 2010 has been the busiest month thus far in our lives...ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it sure does feel like it.

we were truly blest to have my older brother andy and his family move back to texas on july 1st. andy got a job with a company in georgetown and they stayed with us till there place was ready at the end of july...kalan and ryn loved the cousin's being around and i really liked hanging out with georgette during the day...

 we just played a lot and got to reconnect after years of living in different states. the kids really like having each other around and there is nothing like having cousins to play with!

sometimes the kids went over to gigi and papa's during the week so our little house had a bit of a break

caleb and cosette brought their cool 4 wheeler and kalan really loved that.  

we also were able to celebrate 4 of july together for the first time in years! that was fun, the kids were really excited about the fireworks, staying up late and the pure ciaos that goes along with all of that-

  

also in july, after months of planning, we got a group together for a girls weekend in fredricksburg. we toured the texas wine county in style and had a great time. plans are already underway for a vegas trip next year-looking forward to it.

 

our little ryn turned 8 months and keeps us busy and happy as we watch her grow.

 

ryn is a talker, hair puller, eater, laugher, and screamer.

she says mama, and hi that we are sure of.

she pulls her little brother's hair ever time he is in arms reach.

she eats everything. everything.

she laughs and almost always is smiling.

we also had to say good bye to our neighbors of 5 years-brant and laura blackwood. they took an adventure to alaska and we will miss them dearly.
